O.P. Philips VOIP 433 crashes WLM, need help!!??
Hi, I have a big problem, and I can't find any help!
I bought a Philips VOIP 433 DECT phone and when plugged in the MSN Device Manager appears, everything seems ok, but when ending a call WLM freezes and I have to "end process" and restart wlm to signin again, really annoying!
Have tried reinstalling, and also tried with 8.1 beta..

What could be the problem?

Thanks for your help!

So you also tried the latest 8.0 build? Did you install the latest driver?

I still have a VOIP433 in the box here, won it in a Microsoft contest... not sure if I should use it or sell it :).

Well, I have been on their "support" pages, but that is just a Diagnostic Tool, and it goes thru the test without problems..
There are no separate drivers, if I understood it right when talking to the Philips Support....
There's only the Device Manager that comes with WLM...:/
Their only advice was to reinstall Windows....well..nooot..
That is not a good solution in my opinion..if there's a bug..it should be fixed..

Indeed, "just format c:" should never be a solution, certainly not a solution recommended by big companies :(.

But without an error message its hard to figure out the cause, only thing i can think of if you haven't done so already is uninstall/delete the drivers and uninstall Live Messenger completely. Make sure these folders are gone (backup things like emoticons and display pictures if needed):
C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger

After that get the latest public Live Messenger version from http://get.live.com/messenger/overview and try again.
Finish the problem

Yep...now I tried that too..
Also cleaned the registry before reinstalling.
Sometimes I get a errormessage, could post it here if I get it again..I just think there was really much info. in the error report..
Read that someone have had similar problems with some Microsoft webcam, crashing WLM when ending call..
But there was updated drivers for that webcam :/
Hope someone came up with a fix for this soon...wonder if anyone else is experiencing same kind of symptoms..

Thanks for your help!
