O.P. Lack of sound notification
Hello,

I just installed Live Messenger, and so far so good. When I get a new message it makes a sound. So what's my problem? Yeah well.. when I go and play a game, there's no sound from Messenger when I get a new message, and that worked 2 hours ago on the pre Live version. Kinda annoying to tab out to see if there's anything new :P
Anyone got a tip?

Thanks in advance :)

If in busy status no sound is played by default (you probably autoswitch to busy when running a full screen program - Tools > Options > General).

You can set Plus! to play sounds in busy status (Preferences > General > Sounds..."Play sounds when my status is set to busy") but those are only for Plus! sounds, so you might want to set a sound for the events you want to hear a sound for (Plus > Preferences > Customize > Events Notifications).

Hmm.. I just checked.. autoswitch to busy when running a full screen program was off, so wasn't that.

Just installed Plus! and tried your suggestion there aswell, but with no  success.

Still sound when I'm on desktop, and no sound ingame :(

I think I have the same problem.
I use MSN premium and when sign into my email account I get no email alert sound.
But when I run messenger without logging into premium I get an alert.
I suspect the fault lies with Premium but can't find any info on this.

Using the lates versions of plus and Live is messed beyond recognition.
