O.P. personal status not disappearing...
I just turned my status from away to brb...
But the personal status that I had didn't disappear...
see screen shot...

It is supposed to disappear isn't it?

Yea, it's supposed to dissapear..however sometimes (not sure how to reproduce it) the tag just sticks to your name.

You can change (and check wether i'm right) by going to tools > options > personal
