I've been receiving Private Messages from unactivated users recently, fairly annoying, would it be possible to just disallow unactivated users from sending Private Messages?

Probably no, because sometimes, when users have problems activating their account, they will probably just go and PM an administrator.

I have also received PMs from unactivated accounts asking stupid questions like "asl?". It is annoying, but, just ignore them.

Eddie isnt an admin...

Just make it so Unregistered users can only PM mods/admins...

agreed. An admin should do this, if it is possible.

it wouldnt be too difficult but it'd mean manual coding...

Also: yeah i get them too, "can you be my freind" - my god some people are desperate

Why would they PM you? If they're annoying, you should report them to an admin so they can be banned.

And don't forget about the Ignore List.

Yeah we can report, but it wont stop the next person who just randomly comes along PM'ing people

I have had some, but so what? just don't reply, they'll go away soon enough.

Maybe its just you guys being famous on the forums but nobody pm's me lol. I am sure the ignore list would help those people who keep getting these annoying pms. A few weeks or maybe months down the line these messages will stop anyway. You just have to have the patience thats all.
