O.P. Set format command
Hi

I want to be able to use a command to set the font style, colour, size and disable emoticons.

Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Set format command
You can set the font, size, and color from the font dialog in your conversation window. If you want multiple colors or gradients, you can use the BBCodes (MP!L only) here's some examples:
quote:
[c=blue]This will appear in blue[/c
[c=red]This will appear as an gradient from red to blue[/c=blue]
Please note these will only be visible for contacts with Messenger Plus! Live.

To disable emoticons in your and your contacts messages, click "Tools->Show Emoticons" in any chats menu. If your contact has this feature enabled, he will be seeing emoticons you wont.
If you don't want to have emoticons in your messages, and they wont be visible to your contact either, use the /noicon command.
Type this in a conversation:
quote:
/noicon This text is without emoticons! :) :P

RE: Set format command
  • Font style - If you mean the font type (e.g.: Times New Roman, Arial) then no, you can't. There's no command which lets you change the font used in your chat messages.
  • Font color - See vikke's great explanation.
  • Font size - This is not possible, same reason as for the font style. There are some special ASCII characters which will make your text bigger, but then that character will be visible too.
  • Disable emoticons - As vikke said, /noicon does this. It will send the message without emoticons, so you and your contact get a message like this:
    quote:
Look mummy, no emoticons! :D :P
Hope that helped. ;)
