I am going to be in India on an expedition when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is released, can someone from India tell me, on average how long after it is released in the UK/US is it released in India?

Getting a copy won't be easy for about 10 days after the release, unless you've make an order in advance :P.

pfft. I know people who went, stood in the line (for about an hour in the morning atleast so that they could be the first ones to get the books :P) and got the book.
Pre-ordering shouldn't really be necessary unless you don't want to get there an hour or so before the store opens :P

Else you could wait a day or two and get a copy easily :P Unless you're one of those people who wants to be the first one to know the story it shouldn't be a problem. I'm just waiting for a friend to buy it, read it, give it to me without telling me the story and then reading it :)
Or maybe I'll be one of those people who stand in the line :o Who knows? ;)

Just so you know how much I like this book, I am going on an expedition in India, we are going to a village to help build a school, then we are going on a 7 day trek around the himalayas.

We have pushed forward the day we leave Delhi for the trek so that we can all buy a copy of the book and read while were on expedition

Well my uni exams end in June so other than a few projects, I'm free in my vacation :P
I've been reading this series for ages now. I deserve to find out how it ends. And anyway, there are way elder people than me reading it. They weren't even kids like me when the book came out  When the first book came out, I was 9. I read it when I was around 12 or so I think. So that's fair enough :P Most of my high school class read the book :P They do even now :P
You really should ask those adults who are now 30+ :P They were 20+ when the book came out. They are the ones who should be questioned :P
