O.P. New windows?
Hello,

When  my friend sends me a link (example: www.google.com), it doesn't open in a new window. Instead, it replaces the current internet explorer window I have open. Does anyone know how to fix this? =)

To my knowledge there isn't a addon/plug-in that corrects this, however I know this is something the team has planned on correcting in the next version :).

If you use Firefox it can do this if you choose it as your default browser using Stuffplug.
Stuffplug -> http://www.stuffplug.com
And then tick this in Firefox.
Tools > Options > Tabs > Open new links in a new tab.

I've tried that too, but it doesn't work for me. It still opens it in the first tab that is open. Am I missing an option or something?

try getting a tab plug-in for firefox:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122
should be an option to open all external links in new tab - works for me :)

It also works fine 100% of the time for me with IE7, with the "Open links from other programs" option set to "New tab in the current window".

Thanks Zahid :). I'm assuming it's a bug with IE7 because I just tested it and it's still opening links in the first tab :sad:.
