when i try to open msn i get this message saying inable to locate the file MSVCRR80.dll. ive uninstalled and reinstalled tried fixing bying reinstalling but i keep getting the error, anyone know?

have you tried reinstalling the .Net Framework? might work...

After a browse there were a few reports that it was because you have Windows Defender Beta 2.0 installed.

for many a solution was to uninstall Windows Defender Beta 2.0


If you have this installed, does this solution work for you?

whats windows Defender Beta?

It's suppose to be an anti-spyware like program but all it does is cause hassles.

Can't remember the KB number for it, let alone the name it's under in the add/remove programs section.

I'll see if I can get more info throughout the day.

try looking for windows defender in your add/remove programs list...access that by going start -> control panel -> add/remove programs
