O.P. Tabbed Chat Bug
Every time I use the Show Desktop option (by WinKey+D or the button at the quick bar), the messenger switches to other person that I'm chatting to and doesn't blink for the one that was on top before.

When I restore the window and try typing, no words appear because I'm actually typing on the previous chat window.

For the first part of your problem it's a known limitation :)

the most annoying thing is, when i tabbed my chat, not the proper one flashes like it used to in msn 7.0... it will flash with the last person i talked to showing on my bar... not the name of the person that actually messaged me... and it will not even take me to the proper window...
