Yeah so just wondering does Msg Plus Live work with Windows Live Messenger Beta 8.5 ???

No, not unless you put the Msimg32.dll from the 8.1 folder in the 8.5's folder, but it is not recommended and patchou is working on a update anyway

No...

We are talking about when you _do_ manage to get Plus! to work with the new beta in the first place. Putting that file into WLM 8.5's directory will not solve all the problems at all. Plus! will still not work properly as it isn't compatible yet.

Also Patchou asked to not publicize that 'trick' to avoid all those problems. He is working on the compatibility as we speak and quick beta testing is already busy. A new compatible version will be released extremely soonish.

Note that this new version will just be a compatibility fix and will not include any new stuff.

I have both the new and old versions of WLM installed at the moment, and to be honest it's not really worth all the hassle. I'm using the old version until the update is released by Patchou, but it's only cosmetic changes as far as I can see.

Why don't we make a thread and pin it saying it isnt compatible.

8.5 Messenger compatible version has been released download here & *thread about...*

I managed to get the Messenger Plus Live working with the new Windows Live Messenger. Everything goes as fine as it would to the old messengers.
