O.P. Monitor dimming in Windows Vista?
Hi all 
Is there a way to force the monitor in Windows Vista to dim just like the iMacs? |

I'm surprised there isn't an energy saver feature to send relative lamp power data to a monitor. For example, in laptops there is usually a set of hardware registers for this, but setting up a desktop to work the same would be a pain. was put impeccably into words at DebianDay for me last Saturday, by Knut Yrvin of Trolltech - adults try something once, fail, and then are like "ffs this doesn't work". Children try, fail, and then try again, and succeed - maybe on the second, or even fifth retry. But the thing is that they keep at it and overcome the problems in the end.

I don't think there is one that could work as laptops use hardware to do that... your monitor should have that option *All posts are a purely speculative hypothesis based on abstract reasoning.

I think she wants it to happen automatically, to sort of half a half-off screen instead of a regular screen saver.
