O.P. High WLM CPU usage
I reinstalled my computer a few days ago, but now the CPU usage of WLM gets a little bit high after I have openend some conversation windows (20-30% CPU usage). This results in a loud CPU fan, which I don't want. What could be causing this? I tested WLM without patches and Messenger Plus, but the problem still exists on a 'stock' WLM. Disabled sharing folders as well.

Anyone?

If you have the money you could try getting a new processor or you could just install an older version of Messenger.

It'd be worth checking for spyware aswell.

What are the specs of your computer? Perhaps your specs are on the low side for supporting WLM, thus a little more % used.

Try ReduceMEM - Cookie Style script.

More info see CookieRevised's reply to Reduce MEM.

I have a Core Duo T2400, it's more than adequate for WLM I think.
