my microsoft vx3000 microphone does not work with windows live messenger.
any advice

install and update all drivers, update windows from http://update.microsoft.com and run through Messenger's Camera Wizard

Can you tell us what operating system you are using? Does the microphone work with an other applications?

i had a camera with built in audio... my usb slots wernt fast enough to handle audio and webcam if i had other things like infrared plugged into the usbs also... maybe the usbs arent fast enough to transfer video and audio? thats what i had but that was an old pc... times should have moved on!
