O.P. Song lyrics in PSM?
I think it'd be cool if lyrics could be displayed in PSM when the song is being played: (Song name) lyrics here. The lyrics would change by itself line by line. What do you guys think?

no, not very practical. that would require that 1. you have the lyrics, and 2. the lyrics are already timed to the song somehow.

PSM also has flood protection, you can only update it so often

The lyrics would be quite easily got but as MeEtc said the flood protection would be a problem.

and it's something like 7 seconds. It could work, depending on the sound...

You might not be able to do line by line, but do 2 or 4 lines at a time, depending on the length of each line, just to keep it under the PSM character limit..

Exactly

Altough the point is really to show the lyrics in the PSM, you could also have a link to the song lyric... That because everytime you update the PSM it's logged in the Events, change it every 7 seconds or so would create a lot of useless events, and if after you want to check some conversation or something, it's really annoying:wall:

:P:P

Who is really going to go to a link to look at the lyrics for the song your listening to though. I think this is kind of a good idea anyways, though I wouldnt know how to create it lol.
True that there would be a lot of logged events though, could get annoying, but if you really wanted to use the script Im sure you could live with it, sort by user instead of time or something.

Yeah, you could also add commands, like the Now Playing script, or something, don't remember the correct name, that has a command to send the lyric, it could be like that, or if the user type like !lyric and it would send message after message, then you could have the right timing.

This if not the user that has the script gets curious about the lyrics, the contact types !lyric and voilį... the user would send the lyrics, line by line, to the contact :P (did I explain myself right? lol)
