I received an offline message and I accidentaly closed the conversation. I wanted to see if I can get it back.

Check your logs, it should be there if I'm not mistaken.
Yet if you do not save them.. I don't personally know any other way.

I don't think there is a way to re-read you offline messages if you don't save chat logs. I had the same problem a number of times when the OIM (offline instant messaging) feature was first introduced.
