Error:  The application failed to initialize properly 0xc0000022

This what I get when I click on my WLM icon after installing it.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times.

Anyone have any ideas for what's wrong?

Are you a system administrator?
If not, then there's your problem: You don't have the right permissions to access MSVBVM60.DLL (Which, apparently, is a needed file for WLM.)

I would think that even if you were on a limited account you'd still be able to access the DLL, so the problem may be slightly different.

I've tried Google and have found nothing for this problem.
Very frustrating.

As Ryxpia asked are you a system admin as all the research (2 minutes worth) points to administration rights.

It's my personal computer and I'm the only one
who uses it, so yes I guess I am???

Do you by chance have OneCare installed? If not what anti-virus are you using?
What OS do you have?

This is one possible solution.
OneCare RTM clash with WLM

I am running:

Windows XP sp2
Trend Micro Internet Security 2007

Wow!!!   Thanks for the link.   That actually did
solve my mystery.

For anyone else encountering this error.    I disabled
my virus program, signed-in to WLM then enable my
virus program.   

The weird thing is that I am running everything
identical on my laptop and never encountered this error.
