my msn messenger keeps booting me and difficulty logging on. sometimes it will go an hour without booting me but sometimes...only 2 minutes or less.
i have checked firewall.
i do have vista and am wondering if this is part of the problem.
pleasssseeee helppppp meeeeeee.

Having Vista shouldn't be apart of the problem. Do you have a router? Have you got the latest firmware? Having the latest firmware has been known to solve these problems. Also try searching the forums as there are a few topics on this.

i do have a router.....but plugged 'line' into laptop and still messenger got booted.
not sure what firmware is.....lolol
i do have the latest version of messenger if that is what is meant. lol

Do you have zone alarm.

hmmm, i have a linksys wireless-g 2-4 ghz. does this help? i doubt it!! lol  i did still get disconnected when i went straight from the modem. so i am thinking router is ok?.
another issue is that i have 'wild blue'....wonder if its not an issue with that. i have contacted them...they sent service person out, he couldnt find anything.
i will look through the forum.....and see what i see about this....

Just curious what firewall do you have?

I'm starting to think this problem is to advanced for me to solve so you might have to wait a day for someone to help you with this problem. Sorry.

i have windows firewall.

in one area it says......inbound connections that do not match are blocked. should it say that?
