i installed phpbb on the ftpserver belonging to my isp then screwed it up so i reinstalled but it i can't delete the old files it says i don't have the right permissions or something

any ideas
i can delete files but not folders

error 550 directory not empty

you have to delete the files one by one then and then remove the EMPTY folders...

Have the folders got the correct CHMOD on them?

i ftp using explorer.exe

use a better ftp manager like filezilla

unnecessary to make another thread so on my board www.scbclan.net.tc below the logo but above the board i want to insert another cell to put important announcements, any easy way to do that?

{L_LASTPOST} and whatnot refer to? so i can do new ones?

they are variables set by phpbb... they mean what they say they mean =p

if you dont really know what they are, i think you should just get a preset theme
