O.P. A new, big problem.. Help please.
Here it is.. I downloaded Windows Live, used it for a few months, during this I think I may of system restored. When I open up Windows Live, and go to type my email address in, The words lag, and so does the msn, and I have to type in abit of my email address in at a time.. When I finaly enter my email address properly, and then my password.. i log in and It gives me an error, Also while typing in my email address my mouse dissapears and I lag, but when I scroll off the screen it re appears at the bottom on my tool bar.

I've tried so hard to get rid of this problem and get back on windows Live but I failed, so instead downloaded msn 7.5, I used this for maybe a month and thought maybe windows Live would work, I re installed Windows Live and when i typed my email in it did exactly the same problem.. I really am lost. I get the error 800401f3 and it saysthe service is currently unavailable.. Now I can't get on any msn... Please help, I'd really appreciate it.

After Trying that it failed but I came across this..

1. Download and install SubInACL (Microsoft Official Page)

2. Create a file named reset.cmd in C:\Program Files\Windows Resource
Kits\Tools folder.

3. Edit the reset.cmd file with the following content.

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=administrators=f
subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=administrators=f
subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=administrators=f
subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=administrators=f

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=system=f
subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=system=f
subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=system=f
subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=system=f

4. Enter into CMD prompt.

5. Enter the following commands one at a time and click Enter.

cd
cd "C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools"
reset.cmd

6. After a few minutes by processing subinacl, the permission will be reset.

I get kind of stuck on step 2. What does he mean by create a file? If so does he mean a folder. I know where to create it just not sure. Also I'm abit stuck on step 3. If someone knows what he means could you explain it abit better. Thanks again, Also this has worked for everyone who has done it.

Infact I know how to do it now, follow this if anyone else has the problem.

1) Download:

Download this file from Microsoft:

link = http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?F...27B&displaylang=en

2) Creation of File:

Open up your notepad application and copy the following into it:

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=administrators=f
subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=administrators=f
subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=administrators=f
subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=administrators=f

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=system=f
subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=system=f
subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=system=f
subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=system=f

Now save it in the folder

C:\

Program Files

Windows Resource Kits

Tools

Note: When saving it, save it as "reset.cmd" and remember to select
"All Files" in Save as file type.

3) Open up your command prompt:

- cd "C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools" [Enter]

- reset.cmd [Enter]

You will now see your command prompt screen filling with information [Just like the matrix =)]

Don't Panic! You are on the right path

4) Wait a while [for it to stop] and you are done!

5) Open up MSN Messenger!

I'm doing it now hopwfully it'l work for me.
