My friend has a problem with her WLM, i'm not able to reach her computer as she lives in the other city, but she needs my help anyway, but i don't have a lot to say here due to that i didn't see myself the actual problem and i will just say what i was informed.

Simply, when you are talking to someone other contacts get invited automatically.

Does any know if such a problem exists with any version of WLM.

No plugin is installed nor any patch is applied.

Never heard of such, you best take a look at it yourself as it might just be the other contact she speaks to inviting ppl in. I also suggest doing an AV scan in safe mode.

Yes the best way is to look at it myself, though i'm sure it is not the other contact inviting her, because she was asked once by a contact "Why have you invited me?"

We have passed over the AV and such with no significant results.

Anyway, i will do my best to check it myself.

I myself experienced that issue, and i was invited to a conversation with lots of contacts.

What happen exactly is that the invitation window where you select whom to be invited popups automatically and many contacts from the list starting from the 1st in the list gets ticked.

Very odd, i still suspect some malicious software or a virus/worm to be the cause. Check add/remove programs, run some more scans with anti spy/adware tools (AdAware, Spybot S&D). If after that still nothing found the only thing i can think of that might solve it is a totally fresh install (with removal of folders etc) ....after that i would change password and secret question too, just to be save...

I will work much on AV and such, if that doesn't help im going for a fresh install.

We have discovered that the pc is infected with W32 Sohanad Worm, but i don't think it does this anyway.
