So basically, I had a really old version of msn on my computer, and it said I had to upgrade to Windows Live Messenger. So I did.

SO I installed it properly, loaded it up, and my buddy list froze up, and the whole messenger window went totally white. I could drag it around, but still white.

So I did the control panel repair of the program, restarted my computer, and tried again. this time the buddy list loads and i manage to double click someone's name. the convo window comes up, i type in 3 letters, and it freezes. Window just completely freezes. Couldn't drag windows around this time. Then the classic (not responding) thing came up after a few clicks, so I Alt-Ctrl-Del'd and closed it down.

So what the heck is the problem? I tried to contact msn tech support and they still haven't emailed me back.

Please help me out if you have any ideas.

And yes, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling msn, and the same thing happens.

Hi! I have the same problem! It keeps freezing on me constantly and then starts to work again. They really should have said downgrade instead of upgrade.  = s

Yeah. And they don't seem to be doing a thing about it.
