I know that MSN can save your History and Images in "My Documents"
But all images are in the .png format
Thats useful for most smileys, as theyre not animated

But if i want to have an animated Smiley on my computer its getting more difficult
MSN saves every single frame of the animated .gif as a .png
So i have many single images instead of one animated .gif


So is there any option in msn (or msn plus) where i can change that, or do you know a tool that directly saves the animated smiley?

I'm afraid there isn't an option. However, in my experience, animated emoticons are stored in GIF format.

hm it doesnt save gif's, i have about 10 png's for one animated smiley  -.-

only other way is to rip it from your emoticon cache folder thing but that's not a ncie job hunting down 1 emoticon form loads of .dats
