Well, I tried going through the scripts available but I couldn't find a script which would allow me to add people to a conference while im appearing offline. It used to work on previous MSN though but not on WLM latest.  Sorry if I posted in the wrong secion

You are not allowed in the latest version (speaking of the beta version) to have a conversation whilst appearing offline (so no inviting people either). It might still be possible if you stay on the wave 3 version.

I personally don't see why one would want to invite people into a multi-person conversation whilst not participating him/herself (hiding).

Well, as in the earlier version, like if I would appear offline, I would be chatting with say.. 2 people. Now sometimes these 2 people used to have the same topic so I would add the other one in a 3-people conf whilst me still appearing offline. Of course, im still hidden from all other peeps which I want

You can still appear offline to everybody and have a conversation with those 1 or 2 people in the beta build. To achieve that you will have to go Online, then proceed as below



Note: you will have to unblock/appear online to those friends you wish to have a multiple-person conversation with before you can invite.
Step 3 is for when you wish to show your status again to the ones you blocked/appeared offline to.

Quite a workaround unfortunately
I wish they'd bring back chat whilst appear offline.
