O.P. tabbed chats and custom nicknames not working

Version: 4.23.0.276
Using custom nicknames and tabbed chats.

I had never given custom nicknames to any of my contacts, but I had to and the custom name I gave is not showing on the tab, which I assume shouldn't be like that.

Is there a work-around?

Do I have to wait for the next version?

This is a known Limitation, mainly due to Messenger's lack of a decent API
