O.P. Messenger Plus Live Doesn't Work With XP x64 Edition
my specs as in my signature,

i use Messenger Plus since 2003 & every thing went excellent till i installed my current OS,

it's Windows XP Pro SP-2/x64 bit Edition, since i installed it, The Messenger Plus Live v. 4.23 on Windows Live Messenger V. 8.1.0178 doesn't work properly, it continued the installation process  & configuration went smoothly.

the problem is it doesn't save my chat logs at all, i tried every thing i can do but no way.

any suggestions here??

Hmm I cannot re-produce, do you have correct permissions to write/edit files?

Yes but working on an admin account still does not mean with vista that you'll have full access to everything (hence UAC etc) and some things can be removed from windows XP privileges too (hence asking :))

Have you tried un-installing and removing all plus related objects from computer (registry, files, folders etc)

re-installing WLM (or upgrading) and then installing plus live again afterwards?

Well I was thinking stuff like custom sounds, and exporting preferences etc.

Seems very odd that you're experiencing these problems, I've never had any problems with chat logging whatever operating system or architecture I was running on.

If you sue chat logging from messenger it wont be safe as anyone can read it. Messenger plus! Live has strong encryption.
No longer here.
