everytime i restart it goes back to "IE, Welcome Center, windows media center, WMP, gateway game console, windows photo gallery, windows dvd maker"   i try removing them but they come back once i restart. its been like that since i bought it. anybody knows where are this shorcuts?

In a Neowin forum i read this two things :

1 - Open regedit, and navigate to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

In that registry key, create a new DWORD value named StartMenuInit
Edit the new entry and set the value to 3
Close regedit and reboot

2 - if UAC is off, the list will not populate correctly

Check both
