I've Windows Live Messenger 8.1 and MPL! ver: 4.23 under Windows XP Service Pack 2

Messenger Stop Responding frequently while I'm having conversations,it stops for 4 or 5 seconds then comes to life again.

anybody can help ?

That happends to me only when i open a conversation window  and the contact have a flash animated display picture

If not.. did you already uninstall/install WLM ?

I Re-installed the application several times and no way out

If you disable Plus!, does it still freeze? I'm not sure if it's caused by Plus!, if it is, this thread belongs to the Bug Report forums. This used to happen to me after I sent a screenshot using the Screenshot Sender 4 script. If you have any scripts running, disable them and try again.

Also, I recommend updating to Windows Live Messenger 8.5, just download the update from http://messenger.live.com/.

Ok, I'll try.  But something wrong with WLV 8.5 , when I start istallation it views the installer and then nothing happening,I've tried to download a fresh copy of WLV 8.5 but the issue continues.

the official 8.5 installer requires you to get an automatic update
