O.P. Silent Installation Causes Scripting Problems
When doing a silent installation of Plus! when you add ANY script they will appear to be working on the preferences pane, however no commands or script menus will appear ANYWHERE in Plus! where they would normally. This is then resolved by uninstalling then reinstalling Plus!

Recently when restoring a backup of my computer from a Norton Save and Restore file and installing Plus! 4.50 on top of 4.23 to update it, the same scripting error has occurred also. I was hoping this sort of error would be fixed in 4.50, guess not. :(

hum.. I'm sorry but I'm not sure to understand your problem properly. You say that after installation, even restarting Messenger won't fix the problem with your scripts? you absolutely have to reinstall Messenger Plus! normally to get them to work?

This is installating an application without any interaction. This means the application will not show any confirmation window, selection choices, etc.

You run the installer from the command line, the applications installs without any visible or audible notifications, and thats it.

The choices and options you can make need to be entered at the command line as a parameter.

eg:

To make a silent installation of Plus! you need to enter on the command line:
C:\> MsgPlusLive-450 /silentinstall /destination=<the directory where you want to install>

PS: as you can see the choice to where to install Plus!, which is normally shown in a window, must be entered as a commandline parameter (the optional sponsor is not installed during a silent installation of Plus!).

O.P. RE: Silent Installation Causes Scripting Problems
-Ok I run the Plus! Silent Installation using the correct parameters
-I open WLM and try to import a script
-The script says it has been successfully imported, for an example lets go with iTunes+
-If i go to type one of iTunes+'s commands, lets go with /imax, none of the commands associated with that script will appear in the commands list. The same applies with any other script.
-If I click the scripts icon in a conversation with someone to specify script's options, none of the scripts installed will be listed.
-The only way to rectify the problem is to uninstall Plus!, and then reinstall it.
