O.P. Auto-Accept Stealing Focus
I have Auto Accept turned on for File Transfers only.
When the chat window is open on the screen (or minimized) and a new file transfer is started, the focus gets stolen from the other window I'm typing in, and I end up typing in the window of the person sending the file.

If it's minimized, it doesnt actually change my focus to the senders window, but it does steal the focus for a few seconds, and then gives it back.

This is with 4.50.312 and the most current MSN 8.5.

kind of a known issue, it's the way Plus! accepts the file/invite/etc it has to switch to the window and give it the accept command, it's noticeable with chats as well, you'll switch for a split second and maybe lose a letter or so of what you were typing

i recomend you to desactivate that option :S

the flood of virus.exe.zip is real dangerous.
and with that option activated you are an easy target

Auto-accepting files doesn't mean you execute them. By accepting a file transfer the virus doesn't get a chance in infect you yet. You'll only get infected after you click the open link or otherwise run the file.
Finish the problem

what i mean is that the file downloaded in your pc copy itself in diferent places and changes its name, and then you are in risk of have a backdoor troyan or infect your pc if you open that zip file.

some other times the infected contact sent 3 zip files at the same time.

that i wanted to say is that is better have this option desactivated because is a risk that this files get downloaded in your pc without your aceptation.

thanks for the correction ;)

and a question: ¿this option auto acept invitations like remote asistance too? (of course you have to allow it in the windows)

if you are smart enough to not open it, you don't have any risk at all

Yes, it accepts Remote Assistance requests if you select one of the two Auto-Accept options that allow for this.

In any event, it would be nice if something could be done about this.  I was trying to have a conversation with someone, while someone else was sending me many files.   With the focus stealing, it was just impossible to chat.   Perhaps the developer can take a serious look at this and see if it can be fixed.  It's got to be one of the most annoying things ever.
