I am going to Paris for new years and staying for a week.

I don't want to go to the usual tourist traps, so does anyone have any ideas about cool places to go?

Check if the Longchamp hippodrome has any races while you're there, it's a worthwhile experience.

I doubt there are races on the first week of the year but it's worth a shot.
