If you add a yahoo contact that is using yahoo messenger and you add them to WLM 9.0 is it just me or is them showing online or offline not a true representation?

This happened to me on windows live messenger 8.5 and the contact was using Yahoo messenger for vista, it was showing them online when they were offline and vice versa, so its not a 9.0 bug

Nope. You can't fix serverside stuff. I advice to keep both IM programs so you can switch IM client to talk to these contacts when so desired.

Well yes. Microsoft shouldn't release crap that doesn't work, or even worse gives you false information. You can drop them an email and complain?

They get hundreds a day, I doubt one more is gonna do anything.
