no color in the skins

O.P. no color in the skins
why, everytime i try to make a skin, my windows live messenger does load the image in black&white? how can i make it load the image with the original colors?

i tried to change the formats, bud i didn't have success.... thx 4 the help!!:P

you have to add this below the picture id. <Metadata><Colorize><false></Colorize></Metadata>
If you want the picture to be colorized by the color of your selection then you have to replace false with true

i had this problem initially

where are you trying to put the picture?

can you show us the code that you've used for inserting the picture in the style/definition file, as well as the section in the SkinInfo.xml

But I dunno why, but I don't think this is the right solution anyhow...

As well as including the correct XML for a colorizable image, the original images must be pre-colorized to the default messenger blue color. When this color is selected they will be displayed as is with no colorization applied.
