I have creative 7.1 speakers T7900 I think
all creative systems have a badly designed (circuitry) remote control which'll crackle and effect volume (fluctations) after some months, since I moved though it's not done it, but I have taken it apart and re-soldered and cleaned the circuit up, But the are great speakers, I love them to pieces, just a shame that there are no wireless solutions available, that aren't battery bastards. because the wires are the most sucky thing of an system
If it's for games, 'downgrade' to XP for your own sake
