Unable to sign into MSN/e-mails etc

I have been trying to sign into my hotmail inbox and MSN but my server refuses me entry into it. The same goes for my Facebook account and most probably when trying to sign into Play.com and things like this. For this reason I ask whether anyone has any advice that can help with this? It seems like anything that needs a password to get into, or an own user account (if you see what I mean) won't work!

What happens? Do you get an error?

Upon trying to get into MSN Messenger an error message comes up yes, but on other website after entering the password an advertising page comes up or it says the server is down.

Any ideas?
