I'm not sure if this is even supported in the protocol anymore, but StuffPlug used to have this feature. You can try it, but as I said I'm not sure if it's still a feature or not.

no, it does not have this feature anymore, it doesn't work accurately and can be triggered by a variety of situations... so no, it's not possible to accurately find out when someone opens a conversation with you.
