Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to customize it so that the message that says, "X is typing a message" was removed from the IM window and instead put all the way to the bottom of the window (below the icon so that it's out of the way). I think Version 7 of messenger had this.

If you want it to disappear, then plus gives you this ability bu going to Preferences/Conversations/General and then tick the box "Do not send user is typing notifications. But if you want it just to go down, this can be done only with skinning.
