When i try and log into WLM, i get error code 81000306, saying it can't connect to the internet.

I am connected to the internet fine, and can even log into my Hotmail account online. This confirms i'm using the right username and password.

What makes it really weird is that I can log into my other email accounts on messenger, but the one i want to use i can't get on.

I'm using messenger plus ver4.50.0.312, and WLM 2008 (ver. 8.5. 1302.1018). Windows XP.

I've followed the steps suggested to clear the SOCKS settings under the Advanced Internet Connection settings. The Connection TroubleShooter says everything is fine. Also tried the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool


Any ideas anyone? any help would me MUCH appreciated!

I opened a thread cause of the same problem last night...and this morning i still can't connect with my hotmail account.
At least I know I'm not the only one.

yep i have the same problem last day or so

and i can log in with other accounts,

and i went to another computer and tried to log in and it didn't work either

As far as I know different e-mail address are stored on different severs. Thus this might be a case of one or more severs going offline.

Hopefully this problem gets fixed soon, its a huge inconvenience for me right now. Let me know if any fix comes up for you guys!

Mine just started working again !!! yay!!

Yes it started working for me too...but now it's happening again.

looks like we're all on the same page, got mine working again too! hopefully it stays that way
