O.P. Installing Scripts
Windows XP Service Pack 2 (5.1.2600)
Windows Live Messenger 8.5.1018
Messenger Plus! Live 4.50.0.312

I was trying to install a script, which I downloaded from the http://www.msgpluslive.net/scripts/ page. (I tested 2 or 3, just in case.)
I went to open it to install it, but my computer did not recognize the file type (.plsc) and asked me with which program to open it with.
I tried a couple which I thought could be possibilities, with no successful results.
I checked on my secondary computer what they were being opened with- MPTools.
I tried this, and I get an error:
"This program is used internally by Messenger Plus!. It cannot be run on its own."

What program should I open the file with? I can't install any scripts while it's not working. :S

RE: Installing Scripts
Try updating to the latest Version of Messenger plus! 4.60 from http://msgpluslive.net first and see if it corrects the problem.
