I've been usin' MSN for a good minute now, Im very familiar with the program, patches, etc. but lately I have been havin' a annoyin' issue with the actual IM window. The problem is that my MSN IM window pops up everytime I minimize a windows folder. ex. I'll have my IM window minimized to the taskbar so when I go and open up a folder or whatever and minimize the folder my IM window pops up everytime! Its very annoying when it does that, its like I gotta keep minimizin' it everytime I open a folder. It does it sometimes on programs as well.

So is there anything to cure this problem? Scripts, hacks? Its very annoying..

It's a limitation of tabbed chats (atleast for now), if you turn that off you will no longer have that issue.

Seems that it does works without tabbed chat, but the thing I dont understand is that it used to work fine with the tabbed chat.. I think this was when I had 8.0 I have 8.1 now, 8.5 I dont like it that much.. interface wise.

I don't think it is about Messenger versions. It is related to Messenger Plus! version because this problem has been introduced after its 4.50 version because in 4.50 version, some other problems about tabbed chats has been fixed but unfortunately causing this problem.

So you can also upgrade to 8.5 and use warmth's [New Release] Old School Messenger 1.2 (with options) to use the old interface.

Ok.. well I guess I'll just disable the tabbed feature, thanks for the help.

Btw good looks on the skin link, but I rather just stick to the old version for now.
