...how to make a decent website?

I know PHP and CSS are in it, but do I also need a bit of Photoshop skills?

Thanks :P

Hmm for your php and html + css go to: www.w3schools.com

and trial and error is the best way to go for photoshop skills imo!

Thanks Nathan :P

My HTML is a bit rusty (very) so I'll go do some HTML before I start on PHP.

As for photoshopping - I don't really use it very much, about 99.9% of my stuff comes from Paint.NET anyway. I'm also getting Corel Paint Shop Pro XI to add to my application library, which can do a bit more than Paint.NET effects-wise.

ryxdp, it doesnt matter what image editing program you use... just as long as you can make uber images (which by the look of your av/sig you can =p)

also i know a fair bit of php/html/css but if you really need help on some hard stuff... i would go to WDZ not dt =p because dt just tells you to search it =\

Thanks NanaFreak :) I'll keep that in mind, although, I'd rather just post a thread when faced with a problem because that way anyone can answer :P

I learned my XHTML and CSS from in a college course. The textbook is an excellent reference.
For PHP, I learned mostly by experience and by looking stuff up on php.net, and reading the user notes.

$107.07AUD, i cant afford it lol. I believe most textbook are great references as they have been designed to teach the reader what the book is about.
