O.P. Ubuntu Issue
Ok, i recieved my Ubuntu disc yesterday :) installed it and what-not and now i cannot bridge my connection to my xbox 360 :( anyone got any idea on how i can do this on ubuntu, i have searched google numerous times but no succesful results :S
...there used to be a signature here :)

Search the Ubuntu Forums and ask them :). Cant be bothered booting into my Ubuntu right now to find out.

Wouldn't exactly call that a helpful post, if i hadnt of searched that forum i wouldnt be asking here, i know most people here are relatively intelligent so am asking for help :)

Seems so yah, but i always get a permissions error or i dont understand it, im completely new to linux / ubuntu :(

Oh, login as root.

Do you know how to do that? As im currently in my Windows Boot (And cant get out of it right now, converting lots of movies :P). I think you can into Groups and Users. Open up the user "root". And allow it to be logonable.

Once you have done that, logout of your current user. And then type root as username. And whatever password you specfied to log in as root.

Then try and do it :)

I was under the impression ubuntu didn't use root...
just prefix with sudo... IIRC that is the same as execute as root...

There's no need to log in as root. Prefix your commands with 'sudo' instead.

Nah Ubuntu heavily uses Root. And you cant sudo everything when your NOT in root.... Its a bit more secure now a days :P
