Windows Live Messenger can already be found as a portable application.

You can find it on Altavista (or Google) with: WLM Portable

I recommend to search for the 8.5 version.

Well i once created a portable Messenger, based on 7.5, Cleaned out with patch, but MSGPLUS never found the MSN Client, because the client has to be registerd in the registry.

msgplus localizes the messenger not on disc but by regedit and since a USB or other portable devices is Plug and play, none of the software installed on the devices will get regoniced by programs that run by regedit.
