O.P. [Suggestion] Invisible List, very useful...
Hello;

I really want invisible-visible list on Msn messenger. This feature is icq's feature for years. But it's really useful.

You can add people invisible and visible list. The people on invisible list see you offline always until you send a message to them. Whenever you send a message they show you as online.

The people on visible list see you as online everytime, whatever your status is online or offline.

If this system can be on Plus Live, i think more people'll start using it. Because for this system to work properly, they all need to be installed Plus Live on their system.

Just start developing visible and invisible list, and we all win :)

Nice idea, but not possible due to the way the MSN protocol works. The only way you can appear 'invisible' to one or more contacts is to either appear offline or block the contact.
You can continue to talk to the contacts that you have blocked by also installing StuffPlug, and enable the 'talk to blocked contacts' option

You don't really need to involve the MSN protocol. Just a script which creates a new group and call it invisible, and block everyone in this list automatically (and maybe hide the fact that they're blocked), and then another group that is normal. And when you click on one of the blocked contacts in the invisible group - it will automatically unblock them :p

I know if Microsoft does it, it'll be more useful and stable.

But... Err... Does Microsoft do it? I don't think so :). Even there's no contact for Msn Messenger Suggestions at Microsoft...

But with plus, it can be made, and it can be useful...

And also i've tested the stuffplug's "enable talking blocked contact" feature. Yes your messages go when talking a blocked contact, but his/her messages don't come.

yes there is... Help > Send Feedback
And also http//support.live.com

---------

But personally I don't see the use of such "feature". It is just a fancy mass-blocker, nothing more.
