O.P. Is it possible to install Plus without administrator privileges?
I have access to the following in the registry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
HKEY_USERS
HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG

Would it be possible?

I was looking here ( http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=21630 ) but it seems like it was never followed up.

I have an older version of plus but it's kind of buggy, and I'd like the current version 4.60

The thread you referred to talked about the old Messenger Plus! (like Messenger Plus! 3 for MSN Messenger 7.5).

The mechanism regarding how Plus! Live works for Windows Live Messenger is very different from the old Plus!, and it requires putting a DLL under your Windows Live Messenger executable directory (under Program Files). Besides the registry access permissions, you need write permission to Program Files directory for Plus! to work.
