when trying to download windows messenger 8.1 i keep recieving a message that says the ordinal 730 could not be located in dynamic link library shell 32.dll.

Where are you trying to download it from?

Is there a reason why you don't want to use 8.5 or the new 9.0 beta?

i have a older computer with windows 2000 professional. I have explorer live mail 7.0. I am trying to download from download central. I did not try 8.5 0r 9.0... dose this help, i am new at these things yet willing to learn
