O.P. Huh?  How to clean uninstall MSN Messenger?
Aside from the usual Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel is there a more aggressive method of completely wiping out all traces of MSN Messenger in a WinXP Pro SP3 PC? What folders/files and/or registry entries must be deleted? The idea is to be able to do a clean reinstallation of MSN Messenger as if the hard drive would've been formatted. Thanks.

CookieRevised's reply to Windows Live Messenger BIG PROBLEM!
Thats the instructions for removing all the files and registry settings.
You can also remove the windows installer data if it exists by using the Windows Install Cleanup Utility

Thanks. I read cookie's instructions and in that thread a user reported that after following those uninstall instructions MSN Messenger wasn't able to log in. Are you sure that performing the MSN uninstall cleanup won't harm the system and will enable me to reinstall MSN Messenger without any issues?
