I checked the search option but i didnt find anything ...

This problem exist since I have installed msg plus.

Its hard to describe cause my english isnt that well but I will try my best :

for example,
I try to change my Avatar ... no chance ... if I hit the button wich should open my picture folder nothing happens execpt that msg crashes ...
not the hole msg crashes but parts of it ... if I try to change my avatar in a chat window, I cant use the window anymore cause it hangs
Same problem if I try to change my background of the chats ... everytime I hit the (red box) button wich should opend a pop up window of my harddrive it crashes ...

Would you kindly tell us your Messenger version and Plus! version?

Windows Live Messenger : Version 2008 Build 8.5.1302.1018
Plus : Version 4.70.0.334

I m using Vista

Do you have any skins or scripts installed? Have you tried disabled them, if any, to see if the problem persists?

Also, although this might be stupid...are you sure this problem is gone once you uninstall Messenger Plus! ?

strange ... I fixed it with your help, the problem were countdown scripts ... I tried different ones but everyone lead to the same problem ...
