What's the issue with Offline messaging and Sharing folders?

O.P. What's the issue with Offline messaging and Sharing folders?

It seems that when ever I try to send an offline message I constantly get "Sorry it's unavailable" type messages returned and when I try to use sharing folders I get "Unable to sync try again later" messages. These problems seem to be sporadic, but not a rare occurrence.

What the heck's the deal? It's really irritating.
