O.P. [URGENT] DVD drive and case issue
This is gonna be hard to explain but here goes.

I'm building a PC. The case I have is an APlus GL3 HTPC one.
For some reason I can't fit the DVD drive. The case came with some plastic sticks and screws to put on the side of the drive, but theres some metal hoop thing on the drive bay bracket that stops it from going in. If the sticks aren't attached, the drive isn't sturdy and will move around and it also wont stay on the top..
I took the front of the case off and tried doing it backwards. It was better but after a certain distance the drive wont go in any further and is sticking out.
This is really annoying. Can anyone help?

Those things at the top? Most of the times they have a R and a L on it. Facing the front of the drive put the L on on your left and the R one on your right. DVD drives generally have several screw holes where you can put the, just play around with it.

When you slide it in they should click and lock. It's normal to be sticking out if the front of the case is removed, once you add the front panel back it should line up nicely.
Finish the problem

Yeh the sticks at the top. These ones don't have L or R on it.
The reason it won't work with it sticking out is because the front of the case has some flaps and a button. The button is like an extender for the actual DVD drive button and the flap comes down when the tray pops out.

This pic shows the drive bays on the front.

Putting it in front-ways back is the way to go. You may find that you have to adjust the position of the mounts (the "L and R things") relative to the DVD drive itself. Those hoops look to me like what the flaps stick at.
