O.P. No display on monitor
I've built a new PC but when I turn it on nothing comes up on the screen.
The monitor works on another PC, all the fans, DVD drive and HDD are working.
I think I know the problem but I want someone elses opinion. I think my CPU has died OR that the power supply is wrong

The reason I suspect the power supply is because it comes with a 24 pin ATX cable but no cable for the 4 pin CPU power. Bit confused about this one.

CPU death is something I've seen before and these were the same symptoms.

The board wont power on if you don't have the two power supplies to it.

Did you add a secondary video card and not disable the potential on board one?

See thats where I'm confused. Because its a 24 pin cable, do I need the extra 4 pin one?

And yeh I have added a gfx card, but I also tried with the onboard one.

The gfx card is DVI, and the onbaord graphics is VGA. As mentioned before it still doesn't work. It's not the monitor as I am using it right now. Seems like the PSU. But I don't understand why.

Sounds like an old power supply. If it doesn't have all the connectors which are required by your motherboard and GPU it simply wont work.

If your motherboard requires a 4 pin connector for the CPU and the connector isn't on your power supply, then you need another power supply. No point checking other things until that's fixed.
